Upcoming Events
With the first half of the year come and gone I want to thank all who have helped LOBO. I am learning that our members are not only willing to give to the club’s growing needs; they are willing to give to our community as well. Our members have helped with local school bike fit and safety programs, Lake Oroville Trail Clean-up, trail maintaining and clean-up of Feather Falls trail. Wow!
LOBO has this great new web site and it is more than a club site, it's for those Oroville residents and visitors to the Oroville area who are looking too experience Oroville area recreation and most of all Oroville's cycling opportunities.
LOBO is planning a club supported Road Ride from Oroville to Bucks Lake and back with roving SAG vehicle and a mid-point fueling station half way between Oroville and Bucks Lake. It is still in the planning stage but it looks like end of September 2011. More info to come as the details get worked out.
We are now gearing up for the annual 24 Hour of Gold held in October. For more info see our web site at http://www.lakeorovillebicyclists.org/24-Hours_of_Gold.html

About Lex and the future of LOBO
About me: I like road cycling most of all and have come to enjoy mountain biking, touring and just taking an easy spin to the
local coffee shop, and an occasional tandem ride with my wife.
My vision for LOBO is bringing awareness that cycling
benefits our health, families, economy and community and that its fun.
Oroville
has cycling opportunity galore, and our surrounding
trails are worthy of bragging rights. Road riding can be a bit
challenging
do to uneducated drivers of cyclist rights, LOBO will
strive to educate our automobile community of cyclist rights to
the road through community education programs.
We cyclist have a responsibility as well to obey the laws of the
road and rules of the trails and it doing so it is to our benefit of our sport.
Starting in the spring LOBO
will sponsor club rides, some mountain, some road and some cruising
River Bend Park then to the farmers
market and coffee house.
